This 75-minute class is designed to inspire artists to discover and develop their unique creative voices. Each week, students will embark on a colorful journey through foundational art concepts and techniques—gaining hands-on experience with a variety of mediums and styles. What makes this class special? Every lesson is grounded in art history, featuring a spotlight on a famous artist whose work and techniques will guide and inspire our creative process. Course Highlights: 🌈 Color Theory in Action Next, we’ll dive into the wonderful world of color. Students will learn how colors blend, complement, and contrast—practicing harmony and balance in their work. Each activity will draw from techniques used by modern and contemporary artists to help students see color in a whole new light. 🍎 Still Life & Portrait Studies Students will sharpen their observational skills by drawing from real-life objects and portraits. They’ll learn how to capture form, shadow, and light through traditional and expressive techniques—taking inspiration from artists who made still life and portraiture iconic. 🎭 Abstract Exploration Time to loosen up and get bold! Students will explore non-representational art, learning how to express emotion, energy, and ideas through color, shape, and composition. With guidance from abstract art pioneers, they'll create vibrant and original pieces that break the mold. Studio Masters is perfect for young artists ready to grow in skill, stretch their imagination, and see the world through the eyes of history’s most creative minds.
